Exercise 5 - Elements of design - Space- Illusion of space in art

This painting demonstrates the illusion of space and depth. The man who is holding an umbrella in the right shows and create the illusion of overlapping, also the person that is standing in the middle of the painting stands for the same way that shows depth and to make the viewer knows that they aren't in the same location. The people sizes are decreasing whenever they get far, also they rely on the vertical location so they show the depth. You can see the atmospheric perspective where the buildings and the people are fading and getting gray. The building in the back stands for the linear perspective and as you can see it has two vanishing points. The building also has got the amplified perspective depth, In the middle, it is big, at the sides it's getting smaller.
